Short Bio

I am currently an assistant professor at the Univeristy of Klagenfurt (Austria), in the department of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity.
Furthermore, since November 2025 I am leading as Principal Investigator an FWF-founded project called EX3: EXplain and EXploit Knowledge EXtracted to Improve ASP Performance. Check the EX3 project webpage for more details!

My research interest is a subfield of Artificial Intelligence called Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, particularly Answer Set Programming (ASP), a rule-based declarative programming paradigm that has shown potential for modelling and solving challenging industrial problems. More specifically, I pursued the topic of discovering and exploiting symbolic knowledge to improve the efficiency of solving complex decision and optimisation problems via ASP.
